Impacting the Next Generation in Loreto, Mexico
In Mexico, there are over 30 million young people walking the streets, playing in local parks, and wondering about their future. At Leading in Community, we believe in the power of local leaders who go exactly where those kids are to offer friendship, hope, and purpose.
Today, we are inviting our community to support a vital movement in Loreto, Baja California Sur, led by Area Directors Eliezer and Gloria Lizárraga.
Meet Eliezer and Gloria
For five years, Eliezer and his wife, Gloria Berenice, have served the Loreto community with a passion for sharing the love of Jesus. What began as a small dream has blossomed into a growing Young Life movement. Alongside their children, Caleb and Jayla, they have built a committed team that establishes genuine relationships where teenagers feel seen, heard, and loved.
To date, their team has successfully established three local clubs in Loreto, creating safe spaces for teens to be themselves and discover their faith journey.
How Young Life Reaches the "Next Kid"
Eliezer and Gloria’s team use a proven model to build lasting community:
Contact: Leaders intentionally spend time in schools, parks, and neighborhoods to form relationships.
Club: Weekly fun and relevant spaces where kids can laugh, play, and hear the message of Jesus.
Camp: Life-changing adventure and outreach experiences that help kids grow in their faith.
Compas: Small group settings for deeper scripture study and personal discovery.
See the Mission in Action
The best way to see the impact of your support is to follow the work in real-time. Eliezer and his team are constantly out in the community—meeting kids in parks, schools, and at weekly clubs.
